Employment and Training
Bob Vogel, Coordinator
The Employment and Training Program is designed to prepare workers for employment and to ensure their job retention through a broad range of retraining services and participant support.
Each participant is assessed for limits and barriers to employment. Education, training and employment goals are evaluated, along with work history, and an action plan is developed with steps to overcome limitations. This initial assessment of any long term needs is then followed by job specific training in order to provide a comprehensive approach to the needs of individuals. A job counselor instructs clients in resume writing, interview skills, and other job-related skills.
